Our Place in the Bentham Community
Bentham Community Primary School is at the heart of our local area, and we are proud of the strong and positive relationships we have with the wider Bentham community.
We are proud of our strong and positive relationships with local organisations, including local secondary and primary schools, Bentham Town Council, the library, leisure centres, the police and local churches. These partnerships help to enrich our pupils’ experiences and ensure they feel connected to their community. We actively seek opportunities for children to take part in local events and projects, such as the Remembrance Day service on School Hill, the Bentham Lantern Walk, Christmas Carol Service and working with community initiatives like Looking Well.
We warmly welcome involvement from the wider Bentham community. If you represent a local group or organisation and would like to work with us, please do get in touch—we value these opportunities to learn and grow together.
We also work very closely with other primary, secondary and special schools and are a proud member of the North Craven Partnership of Schools. These partnerships provide valuable opportunities for pupils to take part in shared activities across a range of areas, including sport, music and the arts, helping to broaden their experiences and develop their talents. Recent examples include events such as the Big Sing, sporting competitions and Design Technology projects.
Our links with local secondary schools are particularly important in supporting a smooth and confident transition from Year 6 to Year 7. In addition, collaboration between schools enables our staff to work alongside colleagues, sharing good practice and continually developing their skills to benefit all pupils.
