Tasty, Healthy Meals

Children are encouraged to take a school meal at lunch time as they help provide part of a healthy balanced diet and encourage social eating habits.

We are proud to offer high-quality, nutritious meals that represent excellent value for money. Meals are freshly prepared on site each day by our school cook and assistant, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Each day, children can choose from:

  • A main meal option
  • A vegetarian alternative
  • A jacket potato option

Meals are served in the school hall, which becomes our dining space at lunchtime, creating a calm and social environment for pupils to enjoy their food.

A termly menu is shared with families in advance so you can see the options available each day. Children choose their meal in class each morning when the register is taken.

Meal Arrangements

At the start of each half term, parents and carers are asked to confirm whether their child will have a school meal each day or bring a packed lunch. This helps our kitchen team to plan and order fresh ingredients efficiently.

Payment for School Meals

Payments are made online via ParentPay (www.parentpay.com). When your child joins the school, you will receive log-in details to set up your account.

If you do not have internet access, the school office can arrange a PayPoint card, which can be used in local shops displaying the PayPoint sign.

  • You are only charged for meals your child actually takes
  • Missed meals are credited to your account
  • Current charges are:
    • £3.20 per day (full-time pupils)
    • £2.60 per day (Nursery pupils)

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.

Please note that meals cannot be provided on credit. Where debts arise, the school follows local authority procedures to recover outstanding balances.
