As part of our commitment to preparing pupils for life in modern Britain, children explore and develop an understanding of British Values—including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.

Through discussion and purposeful activities, pupils consider what these values mean both in wider society and within our school community. They are encouraged to think carefully about how these values influence the way we live, learn and treat one another.

As part of this learning, pupils engage in creative challenges which allow them to express their understanding in different ways. For example, they may design and create models or representations that reflect what makes Britain a diverse, respectful and inclusive society. These activities encourage pupils to think deeply, share ideas and work collaboratively.

By embedding British Values across the curriculum and wider school life, we support pupils to develop as thoughtful, responsible and respectful members of society. This work plays an important role in their personal development, helping them to understand differences, value diversity and contribute positively to their community.
